The course run by Bath College covers topics including sex-toy know-how, sexual health issues, and sexual identity
A college is offering a qualification in ‘sexual happiness‘ – for people working in the sex toy industry.
The course is being offered at Bath College in Somerset and includes topics like sex-toy product knowledge, sexual health issues, and sexual identity. Sex toy retailer Lovehoney has teamed up with the college to develop the unique course, which has already produced its first first ten ‘sexperts’, who graduated on May 31.

So, Bath is officially the world’s first city where you can gain a recognised qualification in sexual happiness.
The course topics are delivered by experienced Lovehoney staff who are experts in their respective fields, alongside guest lecturers Dr Jamie Lawson of Bristol University – who holds a PhD in the evolutionary psychology of human mating strategy, and has a particular interest in all aspects of human sex – and Victoria Lehmann, a long-established sexual and relationships therapist.
Graduates have already reported that they have been able to use some of their newly acquired knowledge, most notably in the customer care department, to advise on a range of issues including products to use when transitioning from male-to-female, erectile dysfunction and many more.
