Amazing Theme Park Where Animals Roam Amid The Crowds, Mechanically!

The bizarre French theme park that parades giant mechanical creatures.

Welcome to a curious theme park, Les Machines de l’ile, located at the former shipyards of Nantes, western France, where mechanical animals roam amid the crowds.

There are a lot of places you can see animals in their natural habitats, but in this park and you’ll see creatures unlike any you’ve ever spotted before. What to expect: massive ants, giant looming spider and more. However, the star of the show is the Grand Elephant, a 40ft moving structure that carries up to 50 passengers as it stomps around the grounds blasting its steel trump.

Central to the arcade sits the imposing Carrousel des Mondes Marins, an 82-foot-tall ‘aquarium’ located right on the banks of the Loire River.

Built over three levels, it takes spectators on a visual through several layers of the ocean, from the sea floor to the surface, with 35 underwater creatures on display.
