Amy Schumer is the most dangerous celebrity on the internet, and Justin Bieber came in second to her.
Searching for these two celebrities on the web which could bring disaster to your computer. This has come out in a 10 year-old annual internet study done by Intel Security which has generated a list of the most dangerous celebrities to search for online, as hackers often use popular stars to bait people into clicking on something that contains viruses and malware.
“Consumers today remain fascinated with celebrity culture and go online to find the latest pop culture news,” explained Gary Davis, Intel Security’s chief consumer security evangelist. “With this craving for real-time information, many search and click without considering potential security risks. Cybercriminals know this and take advantage of this behavior by attempting to lead them to unsafe sites loaded with malware.”
Schumer was followed on Intel’s list by Justin Bieber, Carson Daly, Will Smith, Rihanna and Miley Cyrus.
So be careful next time when clicking or downloading any material from a third-party website, and never give out your personal information online.
Need not worry about watching a Justin Bieber video or listen to Miley Cyrus, since there are plenty of safe ways of surfing and downloading without dealing with cyber security issues.
