The second edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) auction is set to take place on December 9 in Mumbai.
Notably, former West Indies allrounder Deandra Dottin and Australia’s Kim Garth have registered with the highest base price of INR 50 Lakh.
This auction will see a total of 165 players being auctioned, vying for only 30 available slots across five franchises, with nine slots reserved for foreign players.

Among the players listed with the second-highest base price of INR 40 Lakh are Australians Annabel Sutherland and Georgia Wareham, South African pace sensation Shabnim Ismal, and English wicketkeeper Amy Jones.
Sutherland and Garth have prior experience in WPL, having played for Gujarat Giants in the inaugural edition.
Several notable players who were overlooked in WPL 2023, including Sri Lankan captain Chamari Athapaththu, India’s Veda Krishnamurthy, English opener Danni Wyatt, Australian prodigy Phoebe Litchfield, and New Zealand’s Lea Tahuhu, are back in the shortlist at a base price of INR 30 Lakh. Tammy Beaumont has enrolled under the wicketkeeper-batter category.

IPL 2024 Auction Base Price List
Out of the 165 players, 104 are Indian, and the remaining 64 include 15 players from associate nations.
Notable names from associate nations include Natthakan Chantham (Thailand), Kathryn Bryce (Scotland), and Tara Norris (USA), who was the first bowler to claim a fifer on debut in the previous edition.

The Giants have the maximum number of slots to fill (10) and the highest purse of INR 5.95 Crore. The Warriorz have INR 4 Crore available with five slots to fill, and Royal Challengers Bangalore have INR 3.35 Crore for their seven vacancies.
The total capped players are 56, and there are 109 uncapped players available for bidding.
