Unfortunately, at 5:33 AM (IST) on September 13th, a company called Starlink, which provides Internet from space and is a sister company engineered by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, experienced a crash and is now unable to provide internet service to Earth.

Whether this is a technology failure or not is not clear from Starlink’s statement, but they have acknowledged the service outage and tweeted about it from their own social media platform, Social Media X, formally known as Twitter, at 6:03 AM (IST) on September 13, 2023.

At 7:09 AM ( IST ) a finally tweet on Service Outage “The network issue has been fully resolved”. SpaceX has confirmed that they are currently dealing with a network outage and are actively working to resolve the issue.

Downdetector.com displayed a notable surge in reports of the service experiencing downtime, with over 34,000 individuals registering the issue around midday.

Several long-standing users on StarLink’s Facebook page mentioned that this outage was the first they had encountered in over a year.

Following the outage, fans swiftly turned to Reddit to discuss the situation. One user shared, “Starlink down for the last 20 minutes in the Caribbean. Just found out that my wife left me last Christmas,” while another remarked, “Seems like a global outage. Holy sh*t, look at all of us with backup internet. I’m proud of all of you.”

In contrast, a frustrated user expressed, “Got Obstructed….then Disconnected…..then Offline…. then Disconnected.”

As of 8:48 p.m. EST, it appears that Starlink is operational again. The cause of the outage remains unknown at this time.

At 12:31 PM (IST), a Starlink user reported WiFi issues, indicating a potential Internet broadcasting problem in Elon Musk’s Starlink service.
