One of Hollywood highest profile marriages has come to an end, sadly. Yes, Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt after 12 years together and two years of marriage.
The actress cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split and is asking for physical custody of the couple’s six children.
Another report claims that Jolie filed for divorce after hiring a private eye who learned he had been having an affair with Marion Cotillard.
On the other hand, Brad Pitt is furious at Angelina Jolie for filing for a divorce, a move he says makes him fearful for his kids.
So exactly what broke up Brangelina?
According to the most prominent of the story’s sources, it was not cheating that tore apart Hollywood’s alpha couple, but marijuana — specifically, Pitt’s love of it, which allegedly created what Jolie considered an inappropriate environment for their children.
This will be the third divorce for Jolie, who was previously married to actors Johnny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton. And, it is the second divorce for Pitt, 52, who split with first wife Jennifer Aniston after meeting Jolie on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
