Former bureaucrat, BK Bansal, facing corruption allegations, reportedly committed suicide along with his 25-year-old son Yogesh on Monday night.
The ex-director general of corporate affairs and his son were found dead in their east Delhi apartment, nearly two months after Bansal’s wife and daughter had committed suicide following a CBI raid in their house.

Both had reportedly hanged themselves in separate rooms, similar to how their other family members had committed suicide in July earlier this year. Police reportedly found family photos attached to both suicide notes.
Bansal was an additional secretary-rank officer in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, but was arrested by the CBI on 16 July for allegedly accepting a ₹9 lakh bribe from a prominent pharmaceutical company to “scuttle a probe” against the Mumbai-based company.

CBI had carried out searches at eight locations in connection with the case during which the agency had reportedly found ₹60 lakh in cash, 20 property papers, and details of 60 bank accounts.
Soon after his arrest, his wife Satyabala Bansal and daughter Neha hanged themselves in their residence on 19 July. In two suicide notes, they said they felt humiliated by the CBI raids in their home.
