There are many myths surrounding organic food. You may hear it is extremely healthy, does not contain pesticides, and even has healing properties.
Some people, however, believe this is just a scam and organic food is produced in the same way as conventional food.
So let’s discover some details about the impact of organic products on our health.
In terms of basic nutritional values, organic food does not significantly differ from regular food.
However, organic products have a higher content of certain ingredients, e.g. polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals.
At the same time, they may contain less pesticide residues. Still, let’s remember that if food is being sold in the store, it is tested and safe, regardless of whether it is organic or not.

Organic Food And Balanced Diet For Children
To properly balance your child’s diet, it is not necessary to enrich it with organic baby products.
A wise approach is to base your family’s diet on generally available products, treating organic ones as an enrichment, a valuable addition.
The absence of organic products in the diet does not automatically mean it is poorly balanced.
If you make sure your family’s diet is varied, use the principle of proportion, and follow the nutritional plate, you probably have nothing to worry about.
If you want to include some organic products in your family’s diet, you can definitely do so.

How To Choose The Best Food For Children?
Food for babies and young children should be as natural as possible, of high quality, and, most importantly, minimally processed.
A good choice is organic baby food, for example, the Holle organic baby foods, obtained from strictly controlled crops and breeding, which guarantees the best composition.
The first thing to check when selecting baby food is the label.
Products intended for babies and children should not contain large amounts of spices, saturated fats, or sugars. Their presence in the composition must be limited.
The baby is just learning various flavors, and, for example, an excessive amount of salt will not help create healthy nutritional habits.
Which Organic Products Are The Most Recommended?
In our opinion, if you are to choose a group of organic products, it is best to buy organic meat, eggs, fish, and dairy products. Here are the main reasons:
- Regular meat from the supermarket may contain trace amounts of antibiotics. It happens that producers do not respect the withdrawal period between giving antibiotics and slaughtering the animal. This should not happen and fortunately, inspections often eliminate such producers. This does not mean that only organic meat is healthy, but that it is worth buying it from proven places.
- The method of breeding animals in industrial farming (slaughter animals, dairy cows, or chickens) may be inconsistent with ethical beliefs. When buying organic meat, dairy products, and eggs, we can be sure that the animals were bred and slaughtered humanely.
- Animal farming is one of the sources of planet pollution. Organic farms must comply with more restrictive rules regarding environmental protection.
