WhatsApp Channels, accessible in India and across 149+ countries, mirror Instagram Channels in their ability to broaden audience reach while preserving privacy.

To access the new Channels feature, update your WhatsApp app. Once updated, users will spot the Channels option either on the main window or within the Updates tab. Creating a channel is a straightforward process accessible to all WhatsApp users:
- Locate the “+” icon to the right of the Channels option.
- Tap on it to initiate the channel creation process.
- You’ll be prompted to provide a name and upload an image for your channel.
- Importantly, there is currently no set limit on the number of channels you can create.
Privacy Features Of WhatsApp Channel
As a channel admin, your phone number and profile photo remain concealed from your followers. Similarly, when you follow a channel, your phone number stays private, concealed from both the admin and fellow followers.

WhatsApp has implemented a policy of retaining channel history on its servers for a maximum of 30 days, as they believe there’s no need to indefinitely store channel updates.
