2020 saw us losing many celebrities due to mental health issues. Amidst the feeling of pain, most of us realized how loneliness and lack of someone to talk to are causing people to take such extreme steps.
More so for celebrities who cannot cope with the fact that their good days in the industry are over.
Amongst all the other actors sharing their concern, actress Mahira Sharma also has voiced her opinion on how she was rejected and faced depression for some time.
Mahira was just 17 when she bagged a role in the serial Y A R O ka Tashan. She was elated, and everything was moving rather smoothly.
Until she was rejected by not just one or two but three separate programs, Sharma says that all the three shows had moved to reasonably high levels of discussion. All of them were to be aired on popular channels, so Mahira felt she had achieved quite a lot.
One of those shows was her mother’s favorite, and Mahira was quite surprised when another girl was favored over her. The rejections affected her thought process, and she was unable to cope up with the loss.
Mahira says she was utterly heartbroken, and nothing would console her. One of her uncles in the army told her that if people say bad things about you, even if you have not done anything wrong, it means you are doing something right. This inspired her to give it another shot.
Her hard work paid off, and she got a slew of roles in Naagin 3, Kundali Bhagya, Bepanah Pyaar, and Bigg Boss, which eventually transformed her future career path. Mahira realized that if you display your weakness in front of others, it will make your haters happy, and your loved ones will suffer with you.
It is challenging to compose ourselves during such times, and Mahira did not want to give up. This stance she maintained during her stay in the Bigg Boss, where she made very good friends with actor Paras Chhabra. Though they are not officially together, they are good friends, and even their families approve of this relation.
At present, Mahira is enjoying the attention and accolades coming her way. Her mantra to staying fit is not about starving yourself.
She feels that instead of six-pack abs and size zero, you should be comfortable in your body and remain healthy. The actress says that her secret to the perfect figure is not some crash diet she followed.
It is a combination of regular workouts and healthy food habits that have helped her get that great body. Mahira says that one should never reach the position when they have to pursue any crash diets.
Such diets are bad for your body, and you must be conscious of the body on an everyday basis. Workouts and healthy eating are, therefore, her mantra to remain slim and fit without starving yourself.
Sharma is every girl’s envy and every young man’s fantasy. Her popularity soared after Bigg Boss when people realized her true self.
Not only that, her fashion and style sense was appreciated by all, thus paving her way for a smooth career in showbiz.
However, as she says clearly, she does not need to starve and has maintained her health on a daily basis. Even for particular shoots, he rarely adopts going in for a crash diet. Many individuals suddenly realize that they have to lose weight. Then they go on a crash diet, and that takes a heavy toll on their bodies. These people do not even realize how harmful a crash diet can cause to the body.
On a parting note, Mahira says that people should not run after six-pack abs and size zero figure. Your only concern should be to remain fit and healthy. This is what would count in the long run. Thin is out, and the focus should be on looking healthy. The effort should be more on achieving a fit rather than a slim body.
We all agree with Mahira with this mantra of fitness that she propagates. It is evident that Mahira has accepted her body the way it is, and her beauty reflects her being happy with herself. We hope to see more of her in the coming times, and that mental health issues will not bother her anymore.
