Pros: The DAM interface is quick and easy to use, the reporting capabilities are robust, and the security allows a lot of flexibility. In addition – we love the Portals – which allows us to provide assets to our non users.

Cons: Knowing that a DAM is customized to your company’s needs, I’m not going to lie – implementing a DAM system can be grueling and a lot of work. But that’s the beauty of a DAM – as your company grows, your DAM can also grow and be customized to reflect changes and future needs.

Overall: Our challenge was that duplicate files were everywhere. Our employees had no idea what assets were current or expired – so image and logo requests were constantly directed to the Creative Department cutting into valuable time for designing.

By purchasing a DAM system, we were able to centralize our assets, and provide users, controlled access to the most current files which, in turn, maximized productivity and efficiencies.

In addition – our global offices are now connected with the most up-to-date materials they need, in any time zone, which has improved the current process.

Sale uses Vidyard a bit at our company (certain people more than others) but I use it in Customer Success. It’s is wonderful for getting into to our clients quickly and in a way that is easy to understand. I used to use emails and screen grabs and arrows and then text descriptions of what they needed to do but this way I can just record a 1-minute screen share and explain how to fix their problem or use a feature etc. Some of our Support agents have started using it too.

Pros: Wistia offers awesome features for a very reasonable price. It’s super easy to use, with valuable analytics and various customization options. If you need to update a video, it’s no problem — you can replace it without changing the link. They truly focus on video marketing whereas YouTube is really just for hosting and views.

Plus, the customer service is top notch! (And if you ever get a chance to read their blog, you’ll see these guys are video marketing experts)

Cons: Sometimes it can be a little buggy when adding captions to video. I also wish there was a way to schedule videos social instead of posting one by one – but that would just be a nice to have.

Overall: Phenomenal video marketing platform with exceptional support

I used BombBomb in my outbound email marketing efforts to engage potential prospects and to prepare them for a successful connection with our sales development efforts. We approach this effort in sprints, where we issue a series of six emails to a given contact in combination with an outbound calling campaign. BombBomb helps track opens and engagement (email opens and video views), so that we can modify our messaging / approach in subsequent sprints, and also so that we can determine which prospects may have the most interest in our products.

A secure portal for hosting and sharing all your video content. Easy-to-use software for recording and editing professional videos

Review: Capterra

Pros: Panopto integrates with our LMS, D2L quite well. It makes the process very simple for our instructors and students to record and watch videos. It does not require any plugins or software to watch videos, as they load up in a web browser. The videos work on mobile and embed easily in courses or on websites. We also enjoy the easy sharing of videos and simplified management in the web portal.

Cons: The Panopto Recorder software can be a little bit buggy and simplified. It could use a more modern look and feel. The software does give our end users some trouble – but not the service or website itself. If a student or instructor has an issue with the software, luckily any .mp4 video file can be easily uploaded to Panopto.

Overall: We primarily use Panopto for lecture capture and distance learning. Using Panopto for training and meeting recordings is something that we are just starting to leverage. Having a place to centrally store, share and search through videos has been a great value to our institution. Our integration with Panopto to D2L has provided a simple solution for instructors and students to interact ‘face-to-face’, even if they are located around the world.

Pros: Instead of having to upload videos to Youtube and to anoth platform for my ebsite, I can use Vooplayer and just use Youtube. For ym website it customizes the player and removes the annoying end of vidoe suggestions but I still get the view credits for Youtube. You can also add email optins, custom messaging and get loads of stats for each video.

Cons: If you are a heavy video creator you will hit their storage limits fast unless on a premium plan but you can use Youtube and Vimeo videos all day long as they do not count for storage.

Overall: Love it. If you are a video creator, saves you a ton of time and gives you lots of marketing options for your videos.
