The garden strawberry is a widely grown hybrid species of the genus Fragaria (collectively known as the strawberries). It is cultivated worldwide for its fruit. The fruit (which is not a botanical berry, but an aggregate accessory fruit) is widely appreciated for its characteristic aroma, bright red color, juicy texture, and sweetness. It is consumed in large quantities, either fresh or in such prepared foods as preserves, fruit juice, pies, ice creams, milkshakes, and chocolates. Planting Directions 1. Place seeds in moistened kitchen paper. Seal in ziplock bag and place them in fridge for 4-6 weeks. 2. After the 1st step :Sow the seeds with garden/ pot soil (lightly cover) . 3. Keep the soil moistened ( cover the container with plastic wrap will help maintaining moisture ) until germinate. This process will take another 1 - 6 weeks.
