Air Force Museum

Also known as the Indian Air Force Museum, this museum lies within the operational Palam Air Force Base Station. Constructed in the memory of brave Indian martyred Air Force leaders who sacrificed their in the Battle for Kashmir in 1947, the 1962 Chinese war, Indo-Pak war in 1965 and 1971 and also in the recent Kargil war. Tourists can see various original equipment, vehicles and aircrafts used by the Air Force during the battles and Pictures taken during the missions of Indian Air force.The museum has two Galleries, Indoor Gallery and an Outdoor Gallery. The Indoor Galary has different sections ranging from the Roll of Honor, History of Air Chief Marshalls, IAF Operations, Martyrs and Uniform Sections. There is a model section where all the aircraft models, mementos, shields, swords, medals and plaques awarded to Indian Air Force Officers from the Foreign Delegates that visit India have been displayed. The Outdoor Gallery has various old Aircrafts, Combat Vehicles and equipment of the Air force on displays which were used from the World War till recent wars
