Bajramath Temple

Vidisha, India

It is an example of a very rare class of Temples that have three shrines or cells placed next to each other. Exceptionally fine carvings on the door frames and basement indicate that these shrines originally contained the Hindu Trinity. While the central shrine was dedicated to Surya, the southern was to Vishnu and the north to Lord Shiva. The Shikara of this Temple is very unusual in design.
