Bekal Fort

Bekal Fort is the main attraction to the visitors, located on the seashore of the Pallikara Village. The word ‘Bekal’ is derived from the word ‘Baliakulam’, that means ‘Big Palace.’ The Fort has great historical and archeological interest. It was build to protect the Royal Palace. There is a Lord Hanuman Temple at the ingress of the fort and an old mosque, which is believed to be founded by Tipu Sultan.
