Bhimakali Temple

Sarahan, India

Making the Temple special is the fusion of Hindu and Buddhist architecture in the building of the legendary temple. The Temple is multistoried, and the old original temple is presently locked down. The temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhimakali. The temple is one of the 51 sacred Shakteepeeths. The new temple portrays the Goddess as a maiden and a woman. The appearance of the Goddess dates back to the Daksha-Yajna incident. The Temple is not single but there is a complex including temples like Narsingh shrine and temple of Lord Raghunath.
