It meant the Heavenly Palace and was built by Ali Adil Shah I in 1561 as a royal palace with a durbar hall. It has a wide arch supported by two side arches. It has a public Durbar hall on the ground floor, and the first floor was the king’s private residence. The palace is in ruins now.
The other palace to visit in Bijapur is the seven-storeyed palace called Sat Manzili.
