located at Janpath, this museum is dedicated to Late Smt. Indira Gandhi,former Prime Minister of India who had greatly believed in preserving and sharing Information with the world about the variant Indian Arts and Culture. This museum comes under the ministry of Arts and Culture, and has collection of all forms of art and culture including folklore, cosmology and archaeology to performing arts like acting, dancing, and singing.The Museum is divided into six units namely Kala Nidhi, Kala Kosa, JanapadaSampada, Kala Darsana, Kala Sampada and Sutradhara to ensure seamless functioning of the centre. All three form, visual, being depicted through animation with audio and video graphics with the help of a computer, verbal, through exhibitions and cultural events and written, through literature, manuscripts, books, has been used to display the traditional art and culture of India
