Kanipakam Temple

Chittoor, India

Dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the temple is situated in a small village called Kanipakam on the
banks of River Bahuda. ‘Kani’ means wetlands and ‘Pakam’ means flow of the river in the
wetlands. The temple is designed in the traditional architecture of the region. The temple was constructed by the Cholas in the 14th century.
