Manjeshwar is located in the north-most part of the Kerala-Karnataka border. It is a coastal town in the Kasargod District. The town is known for its Pranic historical background. A 1200 year old temple, Srimath Anantheshwara is located here. There is a Church, The Holy Cross Church, Pavoor, the only church in the world where the prayer services are conducted in the Tulu language. Shri Chathurmukha Basadi is an important Jain shrine of South India. Kanwatheeratha beach, located near Manjeshwar, is a major attraction for visitors for its large swimming pool-like formation of the sea.
