Built in 2004 and Located on the Outer Ring of east Delhi and on the banks of Yamuna river this is the latest addition of parks in the Delhi. Spanning over a area of 85 acres and stretching across a length of 2.7 km,this is one of the longest parks in Delhi. The park is built on a landfill site.A large World Peace Stupa has been opened in the park on 14th. November 2007. The park also has a children’s park, an amphitheater and a food court which makes it a favorite tourist and picnic spot among people of Delhi. Sahitya Kala Parishad organizes various cultural events within the huge amphitheater.There is a beautifully manicured Garden planted with beds of colorful flowers, and the bushes around the garden are clipped and trimmed into fantastic shapes which look very beautiful.
