National Police Museum

New Delhi, India

Located in the ground floor of the CBI headquarters within the CGO complex on Lodhi road, this museum was established in 1991 with the purpose to demonstrate objects and methods used by the Indian as well as International Police Forces to combat crime and ensure peace. Visitors here can see items used by ancient as well as modern police forcefrom all the States and the Central Police Forces of India and some foreign countries. Visitors can see Weapons, accessories, photographs, other significant documents that have assisted the Police in capturing criminals and documents like FIRs, Case Studies etc. A Double-barrel gun is the pride of this museum, because it was presented by Pundit Jawaharlal Lal Nehru to the Delhi Police in 1961.
