Panamik is sited close to Siachen Glacier and is famous for its hot water spring. The Panamik hot water spring is situated at a height of 10442 feet above sea level. Panamik is surrounded by mountains with snowcap. Panamik is also known for its Pashmina goats and Bactrian camels. The 250-year-old Ensa gompa is popular for Buddhist wall paintings and scriptures. Panamik is famous for apricots, walnuts, apples and almonds. Best season to visit Panamik is during the summer from June to August as Khardung La pass is the only gateway to Panamik that opens during summer.
