As the name suggests Rajpath is one of the most important roads in Delhi which runs from Rashtrapati Bhavan on Raisina Hill through Vijay Chowk and India Gate to National Stadium. It is on this road where the annual Republic Day parade takes place on 26 January every year which showcases of India’s cultural diversity and military might. Rajpath is lined by huge lawns, canals and rows of trees from both sides and it passes through some of the important buildings like the Secretariat Building, Sansad Bhawan and India Gate. Millions of visitors come here every year and especially on 26th January to see the republic day parade. Tourists can see the unhindered view from India Gate to Rashtrapati Bhawan through Rajpath and vice versa.
