Following a disruption in the United States, social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has been restored as reported by Downdetector.com, a tracking site for outages.
During the disruption, over 18,000 incidents were reported by individuals in the United States, according to Downdetector, which compiles outage reports from various sources, including users.
There was no immediate response from X to a comment request from Reuters.
Numerous users encountered disruptions while utilizing X, previously recognized as Twitter.
Downdetector revealed a surge in issues starting at 7 PM ET on Monday, with users expressing frustration over recurrent outages. One user commented, ‘Here we go again,’ while another remarked, ‘Tweets not loading, UGH.’
The problem reports started diminishing shortly before 8 p.m. and have steadily decreased over the course of the night.

According to the Downdetector chart, many users are facing issues with the social media micro platform X, formerly known as Twitter. In the last 24 hours, there have been multiple user interactions, as reported by Downdetector.

Late Wednesday night, THOUSANDS of X (formerly Twitter) users faced outages. Issues surged around 4:17 AM IST with 53,572 problem reports on Downdetector. Users complained about app failures, from connection problems on iOS to accounts not existing. Thankfully, the widespread disruption subsided by 7:30 PM IST, with only 450 users still affected.
