What Do You Like Best?
I like that Woorank has a powerful platform to analyze and optimize SEO for any site.. I also like how they offer a free site audit and a 14 day free trial period. I also like how they offer white label reports, which is great for agencies. I also like how you can get help from a certified expert.
What Do You Dislike?
SEO can be a hard process to understand and Woorank doesn’t necessarily do the best job of making it super simple to understand. However, I realize the software was built for people with some prior SEO experience
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Helps my business analyze the customer’s website and provide them with a detailed SEO analysis and reports.
3. SEMrush
SEMrush is a software as a service company based in Boston that sells online visibility and marketing analytics software subscriptions. It was founded by Oleg Shchegolev and Dmitry Melnikov as a SEO tool and a browser extension before adopting the SaaS model.
Review: Capterra
Pros: The design is focused on what you need, and you don’t get lost in SEO or SEM jargon. You can do a Site Audit, which gives you actionable information (and if you’re a consultant, a huge benefit to give your clients). Keywords lists are delivered and organized in a way that again gives you actionable items, as is the PPC research. Content marketing is made simple,. with suggested ideas, questions, and all outlined in a way that you can feel smart taking these actions. Excellent support always, and the downloadable Excel spreadsheets help you share this info beyond SEMRush.
Cons: The con is a basic con with all SEO/SEM tools in the age of Google. PPC data is rarely accurate in terms of what companies are spending, not the fault of SEMRush as much as the sources are unreliable (yes Google, talking about you), which makes what used to be an accurate measure more of a guess. Still you will get an understanding, but the PPC end must be looked at more from Adwords than trusting this tool, or any tool.
4. Google Ads Keyword Planner
keyword Planner is a free Google Ads tool for new or experienced advertisers that’s like a workshop for building new Search Network campaigns. You can use Keyword Planner to search for keywords and see how a list of keywords might perform.
The right keywords can get your ad in front of the right customers, and Google Ads Keyword Planner is here to help.
Review: SEJ
The biggest benefit of the Google Ads Keyword Planner is that you’re getting information straight from the horse’s mouth.
You can trust that all the information about search volume, competition, and top of page bids is accurate and reliable.
5. KWFinder
Keyword research tool with the most accurate keyword difficulty score which makes it simple to find profitable keywords you can really rank for.
Get real-time keyword SEO difficulty in one click and expand your keyword research thanks to immediate Google SERP analysis based on specific SEO metrics.
Review: PCmag
Pros
Great ad hoc keyword search. Low price. Keyword lists and management functionality. Detailed related keyword suggestions. Google SERP-specific keyword tool.
Cons
No broader SEO tooling capabilities beyond keyword-specific querying.
Bottom Line
KWFinder.com is the go-to SEO tool for keyword research and investigation. While its narrow focus and lack of broader feature set preclude it from garnering an Editors’ Choice, KWfinder is an affordable, easy-to-use, and inherently valuable tool to have in your SEO arsenal.
6. Seobility

SEO tools are common, from the best of the best (i.e expensive tools) such as Ahrefs and Moz to little know keyword tools such as Jaaxy (which is what I personally use for my keyword research).
Me being an SEO-er and search engines being my #1 source of traffic for my web properties, I am constantly “on the hunt” to find that next great tool that can show me data and numbers to continue improving my SEO efforts.
Today, I stumbled up SEOBility, a tool I have not heard of just yet (and probably you haven’t either) and I decided to try on their free 1-site trail and bring to you this SEOBility review which I think you’d find interesting if you are interested in checking your website’s SEO.
7. MOZ Keyword Explorer
Moz is known for offering high-quality SEO tools for your SEO strategy. However, the Moz Keyword Explorer is an excellent tool for prioritizing your keywords. Type in your the keyword in question into the form and let Moz deliver monthly search volume, a difficulty rating organic CTR, and more.
Using the Priority rank, you can see how well your keyword balances higher volume and organic CTR with lower difficulty. A higher priority ranking helps you choose which keywords should be first on your list.
Review: TrustRadius
Great tool for tracking website rankings, SEO, and analytics. It provides a snapshot of important metrics, so you can quickly know where a site stands among the competition. I find the tool particularly helpful as a browser extension, which allows me to determine site influence immediately, without the need for any further investigation.
Pros and Cons
- Website Ranking
- SEO
Analytics
- More robust tracking of
- backlinks
- Likelihood to Recommend
Moz works great if you’re looking for an easy-to-use tool to track website performance and ranking. I would recommend it to businesses who rely upon search engine optimization, including keyword searching, and crawling.
If you’re a small business owner, you might find it more expansive than necessary. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re a small shop looking for a few basics.
8. Mobile-Friendly Test
To that end, Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test tool is designed to help you determine if your site is correctly optimized for smartphones and tablets.

Another fantastic tool for finding keyword ideas is Keyworddit, a free tool that sources keywords from subreddits on Reddit and provides context – a list of threads where a particular keyword was used.
You type in a specific subreddit (e.g., /r/askreddit), and it’ll extract a handful of keywords, as well as the monthly search volume for those terms in the U.S.

Find valuable keywords, with a little help from your friends. Simply create a search scenario and ask your contacts to type in the keywords they would use to solve it.
Review: BACKLINKO
Find completely fresh keyword ideas.
Most keyword research tools work the exact same way:
- Enter a seed keyword into the tool.
- Get a list of closely-related terms.
- The problem with this approach is this:
Everyone types the same seed keywords into these tools. Well, Seed Keywords takes a completely different approach. Instead of pulling seed keywords out of thin air, you ask your customers how they’d search for you online.
13. Keywords Everywhere
The Keywords Everywhere browser add-on can be easily installed on either Chrome or Firefox. The best part is that we show you monthly search volume, cost per click and competition data of keywords on multiple websites.

- The competition is a gauge of the number of advertisers that are running ads on Google adwords for this specific keyword.

The last thing you want to be doing when optimising a website is guessing what works and what doesn’t. After using Keywords Everywhere, I was able to work with accurate metrics. Check below. That’s correct. The actual search volume data.
