This is a great little camera! After finding myself & my $600 camera in the river (kayak tipped) I wasn’t about to go through that again with my new & expensive replacement camera so I looked for an inexpensive alternative that was going to take fairly good photos, waterproof and tough. The Coleman Xtreme C5WP is just that camera. I used it today for the first time kayaking and for the most part it performed great.
I say for the most part because regardless of which camera you’re going to be using, even with image stablizer when you’re in a moving object that’s going over some rough waters not all your photos will be coming out clear. I’ve attached several photos from todays run down a section of the Verde River.

After reading all reviews I bought this with the mentality that it will be my son toy camera if it fails to work but i am really very happy and surprised at how good the camera is, at the price point. Of course, the photo quality and colour cant be compared to those expensive underwater cameras but It held up well for my Maldives snorkelling for 2 full days (2-3 snorkelling session which is at least 1 hour long) with a lithium battery. Good investment for recreational users. I’ll let the pictures speak for the camera.

I’ll keep this brief, unlike some of my other reviews. We bought this 3 years ago, and have taken it to several Boy Scout outings, including Seabase in the Bahamas twice (2012 & 2015), a Green River canoe trip in Utah (2013), and a Northern Tier canoe trip in the Canadian boundary waters (2014).
It has remained waterproof each of those times, although never taken deeper than 3-4 feet below the surface. After using it in the ocean we always rinsed it off with fresh water to get rid of the salt water, as instructed. The most important thing to stay dry is this – if you see the “red” indicator on the lock switch for the battery/SD card compartment, then it means “Stop not sealed” and DO NOT get it wet until you slide the “lock” lever to hide the red label.

Review: Amazon Customer
I will say that when we purchased the camera, it did pretty well. If froze up a few times, requiring the battery to be pulled out to reboot it but that only happened a few times. The pictures were really pretty good and even the videos were pretty good quality. When we finally got to vacation and used it on a very shallow (10ft -15ft) dive, it leaked like a sieve. Ruined the camera and memory card. returned it thanks to Amazon (the best customer service around). Purchased another and took into very shallow water while searching for seashells and the new one leaked as well. Thanks again to Amazon, the losses financially were very small, but the photos that were lost cannot be replaced.

Review: STS95
Like most Fuji cameras a lot of thought goes into the look and feel of the camera body and ascetics. This camera is certainly unique looking and looks the part of the little yellow submarine, periscope and all. It’s ruggedly built and feels like it can take a few knocks. It’s not a small or sleek camera by any means, but it’s not meant to dainty. Buttons are well placed with good tactile feedback and the water tight door that accesses to battery, SD card and ports instils confidence in the way it opens with a unique push and turn lock.

If you’re anything like me, you’ve read all the reviews on all the waterproof cameras available today, you’ve combed over comparisons by the pros, and you’ve narrowed it down to this, the Olympus Tough, and the Panasonic Lumix.
At this point, you need to know if the D20 is worth the money, and if you need an extremely durable waterproof camera that takes great photos, I am here to tell you that it absolutely is.
I took it on a cruise with two other couples who had a Panasonic (new, but not waterproof), the Fujifilm Finepix (an older version) and an Olympus Tough (brand-spanking’ new). My photos were the best of the groups, hands down. In fact, amongst a group where we took the same photo with everyone’s camera so each couple had that awesome group shot, everyone ended up preferring my version.
10. Olympus TG-4 16 MP Waterproof Digital Camera
At our number, one is this waterproof digital camera. Its image stabilized lens is sturdy and captures beautiful photos and videos. It features a responsive 2.3 inch CMOS sensor. Its rugged design which utilizes high-grade plastic makes this product last long. It is shockproof up to about seven ft.

I’m a nature photographer and I’ve had this camera for a few weeks now. I bought this camera for a trip where I would be taking photos on a kayak and during snorkelling. I considered only bringing my DSLR camera and getting waterproof housing for it, but after reading stories online from photographers who tried this method only to end up with leaks, I decided not to risk it. I recommend this product for photographers who are serious about getting quality photos where water is an issue and care about technical details like its RAW capture ability and microscope mode. I don’t recommend this product for people who are casual shooters because they probably don’t need the advanced features and can find a cheaper product that fits their needs.
CONCLUSION:
It is recommended that you go for the best quality waterproof digital camera for it to serve you for a long time. The choice you make remains with you, Go for the product that suits your need perfectly.
