1. Alia Bhatt is the daughter of director Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan. She first appeared in the 1999 movie Sangharsh as a child artist. Her first movie as an actress was the blockbuster Student of the year that came in 2012. (1)
2. This was followed by a slew of other successful movies like Highway, 2 States, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Dear Zindagi and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Her role as a kidnapping victim in Highway bagged her the Best Actress in a critic’s role and that is how her success route started. (2)
3. Quickly she rose to stardom and received three more best actress awards for her portrayal in Udta Punjab, Raazi and Gully Boy which released last year. Alia is a good singer and has sung six-film songs in her own movies. (3)
