1. Bonavita Wide Base Porcelain Immersion Dripper
Porcelain dripper with an open/close switch to release coffee; Single cup brewing with French press flavour; Easy clean up after brewing; Uses No.4 paper filter or permanent filter; 16-ounce brewing capacity.
The Immersion Dripper looks like what it is, a large cone-shaped filter basket. Its circular mouth tapers down to a triangular funnel that connects to a wide base. At the foot of the base is a switch to open and close a small valve. This valve controls the flow of water (or brewed coffee) through the filter.
Aficionados of pour-over style brewing will appreciate that the Bonavita Immersion’s filter basket is made from porcelain and not plastic. The ceramic is preferred for its ability to retain heat, unlike the thin plastic found in a similar product, the Oxo Good Grips Pour-Over.
2. OXO BREW 9 Cup Coffee Maker
A delicious cup of coffee is art and science combined; the art of extracting rich flavors and aromas from coffee beans and the science of time and temperature colliding in just the right way, at just the right moment.
The OXO Barista Brain Coffee Maker heats water to the optimal temperature to help your favorite roast reach its full potential and precisely maintains the temperature throughout the entire brewing process.
Water is pumped to the brew basket in perfectly timed cycles, starting with a short cycle that allows coffee to bloom for full flavor extraction. You choose the number of cups and we’ll do the rest, creating a pot of perfection every time. The experts agree: Our Barista Brain Coffee Maker consistently brews gold-standard coffee from the first cup to the last, as certified by the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA).
The OXO On 9-Cup Coffee Maker is fast and convenient, with features like a programmable start time and an automatic pre-infusion cycle (which briefly wets the coffee before brewing, for better extraction).
In our tests for the best drip coffee maker, we found that the coffee was pleasant and much better than the coffee we made with some of the competitors. The coffee maker has a handsome design, with a well-made thermal stainless steel carafe that pours easily and keeps coffee hot for hours.
3. Mr. Coffee 12-Cup Coffee Maker
The classic functionality of Mr. Coffee’s 12-Cup Coffee Maker helps you make rich-tasting, expertly brewed coffee without stress or mess. Should you need a cup before the brew cycle is finished, Grab-A-Cup Auto Pause is a lifesaver.

Review: THe STRATEGIST
“We love this coffee maker. First of all, it is inexpensive, and you don’t have to spend a fortune for a nice, hot cup of coffee. The window viewer to see how much water you are placing in the unit is large and conveniently placed on both sides.
I love that I don’t have to put my glasses on to see how many cups of water I need in the unit or even to move the unit due to the viewer only being on one side. It is not programmable, but my last coffee maker was and not once did I use that feature. It does not turn on or off by itself, but again, I truly don’t need help with pushing one little button.
I see the green light when it is on. Quite simple. We are avid coffee drinkers, and the coffee is good, hot, and fresh. No risk here.”

Review: DIGITAL TRENDS
Easily the most versatile coffee maker on our roundup, this Keurig model gives coffee lovers loads of options when brewing java, lemonade, or tea. The device has a 48-ounce reservoir, and can handle six, eight, or 10 ounce pours. The downside? With regular wear and tear, the hoses on this machine might start to leak. But the chances of that happening are slim.
Still, don’t let the lone gripe distract you from just how great the machine is as a whole; few coffee makers offer as much functionality as this Keurig. The fact it brews coffee or tea in under a minute and looks good while doing so makes it even more attractive.
5. Cuisinart DCC-3200 14-Cup Glass Carafe
Turn up the flavor and the temperature on your coffee with the Cuisinart 14 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker! Using our cutting edge coffee technology, the 14 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker can give you hotter coffee without sacrificing taste.
Choose a regular or bold flavor profile and set the brew-time up to 24 hours ahead so your next cup is ready when you are. The backlit LCD is easy-to-read, a ready tone can be turned on or off, and an indicator light signals when it’s time to decalcify. Refer to the user manual for troubleshooting steps.
The Cuisinart 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker makes good coffee and offers convenient features to make your morning routine go smoothly. In general, our taste testers liked this brew, although a few panelists found it too weak for their palates and scored it a little below the best coffee makers. However, tastes are subjective, and you may find the coffee from this machine delightful. You also can opt to use a stronger brand of coffee than the “regular roast” coffee we used in testing, or add more grounds – within reason – to the brewing basket.
6. Chemex Pour-Over Coffee Maker with Handle
The Ten Cup Glass Handle Series Coffeemaker used together with the scientifically designed, patented CHEMEX Bonded Filters, will guarantee that our pour over brewing process will deliver the perfect cup of coffee, without any sediments or bitter elements.
Pour-over coffee isn’t just for hipsters in expensive coffee shops. It’s actually a delicious way to make coffee if you’ve got the time to spare! Chemex is the classic choice when it comes to pour-over carafes, but we prefer the new version with a handle for easy pouring.
Why choose a pour over machine? For the flavor! The pour over method produces the purest flavor experience of any home-brewed coffee. If you prefer cold brew, make your pot the night before, place in the refrigerator overnight, and the flavor will be just as intense the next morning.
Chemex makes their glass carafes , in 3-, 6-, 8-, and 10-cup size options. Plus, they use non-porous Borosilicate glass which means your carafe will never absorb odors is always easy to clean.
All you need to complete your setup is a box of proper Chemex coffee filters made from natural fibers.
7. Takeya 10310 Patented Deluxe Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker
Taste the difference with Takeya’s Cold Brew Coffee Maker. The traditional hot brewing process releases undesirable acids and oils, resulting in bitter flavor and acidity that is intolerable to many.
With cold brewing, only the naturally delicious coffee flavors are extracted, leaving behind the bitter oils and fatty acids, creating a perfectly balanced, smooth extraction of concentrated coffee. Once brewed, concentrated coffee can be kept fresh in the Takeya airtight Cold Brew Coffee Maker for up to 2 weeks and used for both hot and iced coffees. Do not freeze or microwave
Review: USA TODAY
The dishwasher-safe, BPA free model from Takeya can brew up to a quart of concentrated cold brew coffee. It not only yielded one of the best-tasting brews, it also aced our usability tests. The brewer is easy to set up, offers a durable build, and is simple to clean and store for later use. It is also the only brewer that is air-tight while it brews, allowing you to easily store the brewer on its side in a packed fridge.
8. Espressotoria Caprista Pod Machine
Compact and stylish design, the caprista machine will become a true focal point of your kitchen. With the press of a button through innovative capsule design and precision piercing technology, the caprista machine will produce café quality coffee right in your own home. This product comes with a one-year warranty. This machine will allow you to create a diverse range of high-quality café coffees, including flat whites, lattes, cappuccinos, cortados, and iced coffees.
Review: GADGET REVIEW
Clad in an all-black plastic finish, save for a few highlights here and there, there isn’t much to write home about when it comes to the Caprisita machine, aesthetically of course. Put simply, it works, but it won’t be a discussion point in your kitchen. In fact, ours is next to our Blendtec Blender and no one, not even our occasional housemate, noticed it.
But, despite the aforementioned, it’s very functional and easy to use, taking no training and most certainly a “skip the instructions” kind of setup. Just wash the plastic tank at the back, fill with water (ideally filtered), pop in a capsule and hit one of two blue glowing buttons.
The two buttons represent large and small. And the only other decision you’ll need to make is what flavor or type of coffee you want to drink (or put in).
9. Primula Burke Cold Brew Iced Coffee Maker
Brew a distinctively smooth and perfectly balanced cup of coffee at home with the Primula Burke Cold Brew Coffee Maker. Cold brewing extracts the unique and delicious flavor compounds from your coffee grounds. The process is simple but requires time and care to make the perfect cup of cold brewed coffee.
The result is a great cup of coffee that’s 65% less acidic than traditional hot brewing methods. Brew your perfect cup by placing coffee grounds in the fine mesh brew filter and soaking the grounds in room-temperature or cold water for 24 hours. Simply remove the filter and pour into your glass or over ice. The result is a smooth and refreshing cup of coffee.
The Coffee Gator was my favorite cold brewer for many months, but Primula’s Burke immersion brewer has taken its top spot. It’s shorter and wider with a more durable build than the Gator. I couldn’t quite fit it into the door of my fridge, but it could fit in some. It makes about 32 ounces of coffee at a time.
Like other pot-style brewers, you put coarse grounds into the mesh basket, snap it into place, slowly pour water through it, and come back 24 hours later. Coffee came out smooth and flavorful without too much bitterness, and the filter is fine enough that there was less sediment than many immersion brewers. Too much sediment can ruin a good cold brew by adding a gritty mouthfeel and aftertaste.
10. Zojirushi EC-DAC50 Zutto 5-Cup Drip Coffeemaker
The Zutto collection is Zojirushi’s first collection of products that is designed and developed as a series of products. The concept of the Zutto collection was born as a result of the collaboration between Zojirushi and an interior designer in Japan.
Unlike other Zojirushi products, the physical body of the Zutto was designed first, then the inner technology. Zutto (Zoot-tow), meaning “always” in Japanese, is designed to be enjoyed and used universally, for any occasion, anytime. This new Zutto Drip Coffee Maker is a convenient 5 cup size.
Pros: Owing to a filter cone fixed in the decanter, this coffee maker is quite compact and makes coffee spillage virtually impossible. It is very easy to fill the water reservoir as it is removable.
Cons: It lacks programmable options.
Verdict: This compact and the user-friendly appliance is a perfect choice for those who don’t want to spend much money on a coffee maker but still need a high-performing device.
