What really won us over was the Easy Reach Oven’s door design. Unlike every other model we tested, the Hamilton Beach has a door that rolls up instead of folding down. It may seem like a pretty trivial detail, but it makes a huge difference in how often you have to clean.
When you pull the rack out on most toaster ovens, it sits directly above the glass door. That means most oven doors become a repository for crumbs and oozing pizza cheese. The Hamilton Beach remained pristine throughout all of our tests. It also felt safer: instead of reaching above a scorching piece of glass to pull out your food, the door stays safely up out of the way.

Review: STRATEGIST
“I have not used my regular oven once since this oven arrived. I like how quickly this oven preheats, and the convection feature cooks everything thoroughly and evenly. The other feature I enjoy is the interior light so I can keep an eye on the baking process.
I had been looking for a countertop oven for a while and looked at several of them and felt some were too busy with buttons and knobs that I just won’t use. I like that there are only two knobs and three buttons to control the cooking options, temp, time, light, and power.
3. Cuisinart CSO-300N Convection Steam Oven

Review: DIGITAL TRENDS
The Cuisinart Convection Steam Oven is packed with just about every cooking function you could possibly want — and a few you might not — in a toaster oven. In addition to toasting, baking, broiling, and convection heating, the toaster oven harnesses the power of steam.
The 47-ounce reservoir provides up to two hours of steam cooking, thus allowing you to make some amazingly healthy and moist meals. It’s a feature that costs thousands in a full-size oven, so this is a great way to experiment with a chef-approved technique.
You may not be able to fit a Thanksgiving turkey in there, but it is big enough for a 4.5-pound chicken. The Cuisinart Convection Steam Oven is perfect for adventurous cooks who want to test out different cooking styles, though it might be a tad too expensive for someone who just wants to toast bread.
4. Oster Extra Large Digital Countertop Convection Oven

Review: TopTenReview
The back of the toaster oven is even curved making it the perfect shape for a round pizza. The touchpad and digital display are similar to the buttons on a microwave, as is the height of this toaster oven. It has a Turbo Convection fan for faster cooking as well as toast, bake, broil, warm and defrost settings.
The timer can be set up to 90 minutes, which is longer than most other machines we tested. You can set it between 200 and 450 degrees in 25-degree increments. When you set the timer, the display doesn’t tell you the current temperature, but it does beep when the desired temperature is reached.
5. BREVILLE the Compact Smart Oven

The Compact Smart Oven with Element IQ includes most of the features of a larger Smart Oven in a compact, counter space-saving design. From toast for breakfast, open melt for lunch to roasting for dinner, you can use it throughout your day.
Review: bestproducts
Not only does this toaster oven have a large capacity (it can fit six slices of toast), but it also has premium functions like touchpad controls, heat sensors that maintain precise temperatures, and seven presets that take the guesswork out of choosing settings. It can bake, broil, roast, and toast with the touch of a button, and at a fraction of the power it takes to turn on a full-sized oven.
The unit comes with a drip tray and a broiler tray, though they aren’t nonstick. Oh, and if Amazon reviews mean anything to you, you should know that this one has almost a perfect rating from nearly 1,000 customers.

Review: Reviewed
The Hamilton Beach Easy Reach Oven with Convection won’t take up the space that more expensive toaster ovens do, while still delivering excellent toasting and baking. In addition, the door rolls back, making it exceptionally easy to put in and take out food.
It also means more room on the countertop in front of the oven and a slimmer chance of getting burned. (On all toaster ovens, the door gets very hot to the touch.)
Of all the toaster ovens we tested, it was the fastest at toasting bread, with times fairly similar to a pop-up toaster. Biscuits come out as high, flaky, and golden as if you made them in the oven—and faster, too.
7. Oster Large Digital Countertop Convection Toaster Oven

Precaution: Do not touch hot surfaces. Always use oven mitts when handling hot materials and allow metal parts to cool before cleaning. Allow the unit to cool thoroughly before putting in or taking off parts. Always use the oven handles when moving the unit.
Perfect for large families, this countertop oven from Oster comes equipped with convection technology, which means it distributes heat quickly and evenly for thorough cooking and excellent results. Also tested in our kitchen after an exhaustive search was the Hamilton 31128 and the Oster TSSTTVMNDG-001 toaster ovens. Both are very much budget options and we’d be remiss not to test the other end of the price spectrum.
During our testing, I found that both were decent at toasting toast. However, neither are anything to get excited about, largely because of their build quality, look and all together no pizzaz operation. But again, their both in the sub $100 range so it’s fitting.
So what’s our ultra budget recommendation or the best toaster oven under $100? The Oster TSSTTVMNDG-001 toaster oven. Let’s just ignore the model number and focus on the positive things, at least for now.

The Bialetti 35047 offers the same 1,800 watts of cooking power as you’ll get from Breville, but at $99, it costs less than half as much. You also get a modern-looking black stainless steel build with an easy-to-use digital display that lets you dial into your preferred level of doneness whenever you’re toasting something.
Another little feature that I love? The “A Little Extra” button for those times when your toast needs just a minute more or so. Just be warned: That extra power means that the Bialetti tends to cook quickly — and we’ve got the burnt pizza to prove it.

First off, you can fit a 9-inch pizza in this toaster oven, so wave goodbye to your actual oven and stop eating cold leftover pizza like a cave person. Second, this toaster oven has an extra long 120-minute timer that makes it easy to reheat or bake dishes like casseroles and frozen meals.
There are two rack positions that can account for differently sized dishes and foods, with the top rack being the ideal option for broiling. Cleanup is also a breeze: Just remove the crumb tray and toss it in the dishwasher.

Review: Andrew L Withers
We especially like the roll-up door, since it’s out of the way for pulling food out onto a nearby plate. It’s a bit bigger than our last toaster oven, but still fits nicely on our kitchen countertop. And the oven makes GREAT toast, once you figure out where to set the timer knob for your preferred “darkness”.

Just received a day ago and cooked a small frozen pizza. Slightly longer cooktime, but a much crisper crust. I’ve been using the 5.8 Cosori for a while, so I’ll compare the two in future edits. Already you can see a 6lb. turkey fits, not a chance in my 5.8. Nice control panel, option to turn fan off in some modes and an oven light.

I had reservations about buying this unit because of the venomous 1-star reviews. After using this unit for a few weeks I have to assume that there were either a large number of defective products sent out (quite unusual for Cuisinart), or that some people have unrealistic expectations of a toaster oven/air fryer. Ok, seriously I spent over a month trying to find the right countertop oven – I bought the mueller one – too small, the breville compact I did a ton of research and was still skeptical , bravo xl, ninja foodi etc – this kitchenaid is the one. I did buy a heat shield strip to put under the device just in case because Of where I have it but it does not get overly hot, it is not loud, I have cooked a lasagna, roasted artichokes to pizza rolls and soft pretzels and fries…..this popped up last minute.

This thing is a BEAST! I purchased this because I have no oven in my apartment and wanted the option to be able to cook and this toaster oven does NOT disappoint. This is the best toaster oven I’ve ever owned. Period. And over the course of 30 years I’ve owned just about every imaginable kind of toaster oven – and toaster oven combo. As I’ve gotten older I’ve really gravitated toward the pricey ones that aren’t “just” a toaster. The last one I bought was a highly rated Cusinart stainless convection Combo that cost well over $300.

I am slowly converting all of my small kitchen appliances to Kitchen Aid and have yet to find any issues with any of them. I just received my toaster oven today and tested toasting one piece on shade 3, and it worked perfectly. I do not plan to use this for major baking jobs, so I’m sure there won’t be any future issues. This is definitely a lot prettier than my old Hamilton Beach toaster oven, and I can put a lot more it it with no problems.
