I create music for myself as well as for commercial use (podcasts, commercials, short films, Youtube channels etc.). Ableton allows me to work under strict time constraints while still allowing me to be as creative as possible in the moment. At the same time, when I have all the time in the world, Ableton cultivates my sound design experimentation sessions wonderfully.

It is easy to use and accepts a variety of formats, including video. I can do simple things but in the future I think I can do more as I understand and learn all its functions,

Sometimes I need to adjust the audios for Radio commercials, in the end they have disclaimers and I have to accelerate the speed so they don’t take up much time and adjust the whole spot to 20 seconds. I also use it to extract the audio from some videos so I can listen to them on my phone.

What do you like best?
I found the design of Sound Forge to be very modern and sleek. All the tools are organized in distinct sections to help me to go back and forth between editing and applying effects in a smooth manner. The visual wave information is very precise. We can select very tiny segments of a WAV file in order to edit minute details such as scratch and pop sounds. Sound Forge also works well with many different extensions to give us a full range of effects without having to use a complete audio workstation.
What do you dislike?
There aren’t that many presets that allow us to apply complete effects with just a few clicks. The presets that are there don’t always fittingly apply to the types of sounds that we are looking to edit. I can take users a long time to be able to figure out how to make the tools and effects work to create a specific sounds that the user is looking to produce.

Sound Forge is a relatively low price professional sound editing application that we can use for many different purposes. We can make sound in our videos and audio assets more crisp and clean. What do you like best?
Reaper is just a lightweight fast working software, you just launch it and it works fast, just adding tracks and start making music, the UI can be a little complicated to first timers but it’s easy to get used to it, supports most types of plugins which are easy to add, and it can add plugins and effects to either the input of the track or the track itself which i find super handy sometimes while recording and live monitoring, using search for finding any plugin or instrument is a super handy feature, working with midi is different that other DAWs but it’s not complicated, and the functions are great as well, the software handles the audio driver very good and very few issues occurred due to audio interface problems, the software is very reliable and rarely crashes, i consider reaper to be on of the most stable DAWs out there, you can rely on it to record really long multi-track sessions with no problems, i love the integration they have done with ReaRoute ASIO, it made going live with software like OBS possible, which i found this is to be very hard to do on Windows because of the way how Windows handles audio devices
What do you dislike?
routing audio between tracks is so complicated, audio editing is not a strong area for this software, creating aux tracks for routing audio or for adding effects like reverb or delay is complicated as well, i don’t like the way it handles recording as files to save and especially when recording twice in the same area in the grid

i wanted a fast working solution for doing some music after i get a simple musical idea OR if you want to record yourself and your audio using screen recording or by doing live streams this DAW is for you

What do you like best?
This is the smoothest my multi track editing experience has gone. What took me a year to learn for Adobe Audition, I learned in two weeks. And the cost! Either a single version purchase for $1 or more, or you can get every update for life for $45.
Upon booting up, you’ll see a drop down that says “Slide”. This is my favorite tool: it changes how the tracks respond to your edits: Ripple allows you to have trimmed content move forward automatically when you delete or move material in the same track, Slide lets you move pieces of a track without affecting the rest of the material on the track, and Lock? Best one of all: it will keep all material in place, and prevent it from moving around when you delete or change anything. That single thing by itself sped up my editing my a ton, especially since I don’t have to worry about messing up as much.
What do you dislike?
The program is split into two portions of the same window: Editor and Mixer. Editor is what I’ve been praising endlessly. Mixer is harder to work with. Mixer lets you add effects like EQ balancing and leveling, compressing and normalizing. And there are lots of options.
But most of them aren’t free – and there are WAY too many options. This is going to take me a while to get used to as a result. But it’s not all bad: I tend to use Audacity to normalize and level tracks, but use Ardour for the stability and ease of the rest of the editing.
So not too bad, honestly!
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I tend to record audio tracks with others who don’t have good recording environments, and we often get distracted by silly side conversation. Being able to simply edit all of these problems out and do so cleanly and easily is what makes it all worth it.
Further still, the way the tracks lay out, you can prepare editing templates to simplify it even more. I have multiple series lined up, and I have a template set up for each of them.

What do you like best?
The software was very easy to navigate and I was surprised how versatile it was to be web-based and free. The feature I liked the most was that you could use any pre-recorded file no matter the tempo, it’s very easy to integrate the loops with your themes with a very simple interface.
What do you dislike?
To say the least in some updates the program changes the interface quite a bit, sometimes confusing it with previous versions, but it’s just a matter of getting used to it.

It’s very easy for me to use in the office when we have to create multimedia content and we have to make adjustments or create our own melodies, it’s very easy to get inspired and create quick sounds and themes with the loops it includes.

I love the simplicity of the tool and the flexibilty and feature control. If you’re an audio producer, looking for an easy way to compress, normalize, reduce noise and hum, and have a say in what the export format will be, this is your tool. Lots of power, right from your browser. And you can use it for free within some generous limits.m

I haven’t found any dediciencies yet. The tool is full featured enough that I haven’t bumped into a limitation.
