1. Simple For Facebook
Simple for Facebook includes access to Facebook and Facebook messages without the need to install either of Facebooks battery intensive apps.
With Simple for Facebook, it’s simple to download videos from Facebook. You can also easily download images with a press of a button.
Get notified of new Facebook notifications by setting up your sync interval in Simple’s settings.
Fantastic interface and great experience so far! Combines both Facebook, Messenger, & more. Able to upload pics and videos. This operates way better than Facebook Lite & Messenger Lite which I previously had. Even better than Facebook directly off the Chrome page. Have had over a month now & happy with this app. Pages move quickly & functions are there & layout is great. Has ads at bottom of page, however, doesn’t bother me. Ease, combo media access, performance, & no crashes. Great job! Good work!
2. Faster For Facebook Lite
Free, lightweight alternative for Facebook Lite, Facebook messenger lite which allows you to chat with your Facebook friends, send emoticon, videos, images, gift, browse news feed, comments, etc…
Facebook Lite is a complete package of all the features of Facebook. The lightning fast speed of browsing is speechless even you are using 2G/3G. The layout of Lite is as lit as Mark Zuckerberg. If your phone is Highly sick of ” Storage is running low” This app is especially for you. But if we are talking about its features I notice that it vary with the user. Literally, my friend’s account shows react on comments but not in my account even with the same phone. But if we are talking about 1 MB application. It is highly recommended for all. I find its quite useful for all.
3. Puffin For Facebook
Created by the developers of Speedy which is a Puffin web browser, Puffin for Facebook is another free browser-based app available for both Android and iOS. Resource-optimized and light, Puffin for Facebook leverages Facebook’s own Cloud rendering technology to enable fast, controlled and low-resource social platform experience.
With Puffin, users can know their monthly data savings and enjoy the same features as offered by Facebook’s mobile browser including the Messenger. However, users may view ads while using messenger for messages. Though it is not too snazzy or sleek, it definitely delivers FB site experience to users who have old device or are worried about their data cap.
I’m using on old iPhone 4s, so I may be partial to this app because it is lightweight and fast. What you shed by using this app is close to 500 megabytes of storage, 277 for the Messenger app, and around 200 for the Facebook app, which takes a load off the old A5 chipset. By no means is it perfect, and for those with faster, newer phones, 500 megs is not much. There are a few things that I’m not happy with, but I really didn’t like Messenger. Puffin FB covers the FB experience AND lets me view and send private messages all in one, small app…
4. Social Media Vault
Access all your social media securely and conveniently with Social Media Vault. With its password-protected interface, you don’t have to worry about others accessing your social media accounts. In addition, the application has a host of secondary security features that keeps your social media accounts hidden and non-discover-able by others.
In short, its Access your entire social networks within a secure interface. An application that acts as a virtual vault and organizer for all your social media applications. You no longer have to re-enter your social media credentials with this application, you have to freedom to access all your social media accounts with one password, PIN or pattern.
All apps are updated once an mth but ur app is 5 mths old. How do we get security updates regularly
5. Fella For Facebook
Fella is the best web wrapper with lots of customization options, even when you have limited data or a slow connection.
It’s a very small app, very customisable and fast. However, I am having issues with saving any content. Whenever I try to save something it just keeps fetching and never stops, I can’t go back from it either so I have to close the app. Would the Devs have any idea how to fix this?
6. Swift For Facebook Lite
Swift for Facebook Lite is a free, customizable, fully functional, lite alternative for both Facebook lite and messenger which allows you to chat, call, video call with your Facebook friends, send emoticon, videos, images, gift, browse newsfeed, comments, etc… and protect your privacy.
Been using this app for about a month. It started out Fantastic. It truly was “swift.” Messages were working fine. But it’s degraded in speed and function the last 2 weeks or so. Not getting message notifications, very slow to load anything. Takes quite a while after clicking a post for it to appear. Can’t respond with the emoji choices, only the “like” one. Won’t load notifs, etc. Too many problems to list. Going back to using a web browser.
SlimSocial apparently hints as slimming down existing Facebook to give you an app that embodies powerful simplicity. Its smallest size (100KB) strikes like a big surprise to many users. The icing on the cake is that it has no ads.
For developers, the best part about SlimSocial is its open source quality which makes it easy for contributors to go make changes to its source code. Though it may appear a little slow, users will find it amazing altogether. Developers also zealously continue to update and build new features on and off.
I feel much safer using this on my phone than the official app. My only complaint is the inability to copy text from posts.
8. Tinfoil For Facebook
Tinfoil for Facebook is for those users that require a Tinfoil Hat when logging in to Facebook. It creates a sandbox for Facebook’s mobile site in order to protect your privacy and to avoid the ability others to track your browsing history.
After yesterday’s crash for maintenance or security breach that I believe may have happened rather. I remembered this app and downloaded it. Through this app was the only way I could log back in, actually click to see my profile, and see my pics again, post, and comment which I couldn’t anywhere els
9. Swipe For Facebook
Swipe is the smoothest, slickest Facebook alternative app out there, integrating Facebook’s light mobile website into a familiar user interface that is much like the official app.
What you get is a lightweight, highly customizable, and battery-friendly alternative app that emphasizes on user interface and user experience as much as functionality and design.
10. Friendly For Facebook
With Friendly, you only need one app for all your Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and Twitter needs.
Third party twitter apps are everywhere; even Friendly has one mixed in. But so far this is the only third party Facebook client I’ve been able to find. And despite being unchallenged it proves to be a very good product.
Pros: Friendly takes the biggest flaws of the stock Facebook app and does away with them. The news feed can be defaulted to most recent. A night mode is optionable. Ads and suggested posts can be removed.
And Messenger is included without needing a second app. And best of all, this app does not appear to have the spyware-like qualities of the official app. And it’s also a fraction of the file size.
