“We are what we think” – the statement said by Buddha confirms the fact that our life is made of our habits and positive thoughts bring positive results. That’s why it is so important to choose the positive way of thinking and make an optimistic attitude to life.
So the power of positive thinking is known as a disseminating concept proved by multiple scientific studies and today it even sounds like a little cliché.
But positive thinking doesn’t mean to look at the world through the rose-tinted glasses or deceive yourself believing that everything is fine while complete chaos prevails in real life.
Positive thinking isn`t just blind optimism. The positive way of thinking means a mindset that focuses on the bright side of life and expects positive results.
Positive thoughts, positive mind, positive life are related and interrelated concepts. Positive people anticipate happiness, success and health. Such people believe that they can overcome any difficulties and obstacles of life.
Positive thinking is one of the distinguishing features of self-perfection because a positive person sees things as they are, but with the difference that, however, difficult the situation may be, he or she remains optimistic about development and success.
With the positive attitude to life, you experience just happy and pleasant feelings. This brings brightness to your world, makes you more energetic and active, gives you more confidence and improves your mood. You walk tall, your voice becomes more powerful and body language demonstrates the way you feel.
Moreover, according to a new study from the Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, an optimistic outlook on life may also help people live longer.
The study figured out that women who were positive had a significantly decreased risk of dying from such leading causes of mortality as heart disease, cancer, respiratory disease, stroke, and infection over an eight-year period, compared with women who were less optimistic.
The scientists found a link between positive thinking and the main factors that may affect mortality risk, including race, high blood pressure, diet and physical activity.
So using the power of positive thinking you can upgrade your thoughts, dramatically change the way you live and even extend your life for a few years.
