So I was stuck between last year’s M3 and the Bose 700. I saw these were coming out and wasn’t sure. I did more research and was leaning towards the 700’s to save money. I am primarily using these for WFH (music/calls) and the mic on the 700’s is said to be amazing. As I researched I googled around and found that Bose has been having weeks of software issues and didn’t want to get into that. I almost pre-ordered the M4’s but decided to sleep on it because it didn’t make a difference being in a queue. Finally one day, I found a YouTube video on the M4 and all my concerns were already addressed. I was sold.

I love these earphones. Ambient sound is really good. It actually sounds like you’re not wearing any earphones. The noise canceling is slightly better on the RZ-S500W than AirPod pros. And AirPod pro have pretty good noise canceling. Even when its on regular mode, they block out a lot of sound. Comfortable fit for me. Battery life is exactly as claimed. All levels of vocals are clear and sharp. Bass is sharp and solid. Equalizer on the app is great for adjustability. My friend said the call quality was clear, so I’ll take his word for it. These are worth the money.

The LucidSound LS30 is a wireless gaming headset. It will work with your PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and your PC.

What sets the LucidSound LS30 apart, however, is that it can also work well as a standard pair of headphones. Not a wireless set, since it uses a dongle rather than Bluetooth, but the removable boom mic and street headphone-like design certainly means it looks the part.

At £129, the LucidSound LS30 is a decent mid-range headset for those looking for a device that serves a purpose beyond simply gaming.

Review: WIRED

Have You Ever tried using Sony’s pitiful little mono headset that comes with every PlayStation 4? It’s a chintzy freebie at best, and a no-good, annoying, keeps-coming-unclipped-from-your-collar, hanging hellion the rest of the time.

Sony’s 2014 Gold Wireless Headset also angered gamers due to a fragile, crack-prone headband. With this track record, you’d be forgiven for ignoring Sony’s new 2018 Gold Wireless Headset. I was pretty skeptical myself, but aside from a few issues, it’s been one of the best wireless headsets I’ve used on the PS4. I even recommended in our list of best PS4 accessories.

There’s a healthy glut of high-end gaming headsets on the market right now, all aimed squarely at aspiring professional gamers or the “hardcore” crowd, but the most feature-rich tend to cost £200 and more. However, with its wireless PlayStation Platinum headset, Sony has managed to bring a similar feature set to market for a “mere” £130 and, in the process, add a clutch of extra capabilities thanks to its close relationships with developers.

First things first, though: Sony’s commitment to style and design really shines through in the Platinum headset. Aside from the rather annoying diamond-shaped USB dongle taking up another precious USB slot on the front of your PS4, the Platinum headset is exceptionally well designed.

Review: GADGET REVIEW

The Siberia 800 has an odd story for a gaming headset: It started out life as the H Wireless. Then it got an upgrade as well as a name change, becoming the Siberia 800 and essentially turning an older headset into a competitive model for the modern market. The similarity between the older/newer model may be a little confusing to customers, but the result is a powerful headset that works with pretty much everything and has some serious sound chops.

Review: Trussted Reviews

More and more ‘true wireless’ earphones are hitting the market from familiar brand names, and the Bass+ are Philips’ first entry. At £99.99 they join the likes of the Motorola Stream (£80) in providing more budget-friendly alternatives to the Apple AirPods.

While these true wireless buds sound respectable for the money, and they have decent battery life off a single charge, their unusual design isn’t going to win most people over.

Review: Amazon

I got this in a rush when I needed a new headset. In hindsight a bit more research would have had me getting something else. As a precursor to the review I feel that it is worth noting that I am very rough on audio peripherals. I don’t know why, but they usually last me about 6 months regardless of the quality and price. This is why I choose to buy at a cheaper price point more frequently rather than high-end less frequently.
