Jawan Day 2: Shah Rukh Khan’s Film Crosses ₹111 Cr

After a record ₹65.50 crore opening, “Jawan” crossed ₹100 crore on Day 2. Shah Rukh Khan’s film earned ₹46.23 crore on Day 2 alone, totaling ₹111.73 crore for the Hindi version. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh predicted even bigger gains over the weekend, calling the film “phenomenal.” He anticipates a weekend haul of ₹235-250 crore, with Thursday at ₹65.50 crore and Friday at ₹46.23 crore, bringing the total.

“Jawan” collected a staggering 19.09% more than Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster “Pathaan.” Taran Adarsh, in his X (formerly Twitter) post, exclaimed, “Jawan is sensational, creating history by shattering all previous records. It stands as the biggest Hindi film opener in India, with a Day 1 earnings of ₹65.50 crore, surpassing #Pathaan by 19.09%.”

Film critic Saibal Chatterjee awarded the film a 3.5-star rating in his review for NDTV.

On its fifth day at the box office, “Jawan,” starring Shah Rukh Khan, is poised to break through the Rs 300 crore milestone, following an impressive first-weekend collection of Rs 287 crore in India, marked by a record-setting single-day earning of Rs 81 crore on Sunday, September 10, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.com.
