Fitbit Zip is a digital electronic pedometer. It is rather compact, made of plastic and shaped as a sea stone. This Bluetooth pedometer comes in 4 different colors so you can choose the most appropriate one for you. Owing to the built-in tri-axis accelerometer this digital pedometer is able to give you the most accurate data on your activity.

Besides, the pedometer records your steps regardless of its position. It comes with a silicon holder and fits in your pocket, on a bra or a belt. Take note that the silicon holder should be always used, for a Zip tracker is not meant to be worn in direct contact with the skin.

2. Pingko Walking Pedometer Accurately

Medical professionals advised that we should take at least 10,000 steps per day. The easiest and/or most right way to do this is the use of a reliable and inexpensive device called pedometer!

Where The Problems Are?

Most pedometers are complicated with unnecessary features.

Sad to say, the majority of the Earth population do not have access to at least one pedometer due to these factors. Worst, they can’t be sure if they’re meeting the daily step target.

After our troublesome beginning to the challenge with some unreliable pedometers, PINGKO created the simplest multi-function compact pedometer. It’s extremely simple to use, easy to clip unto clothing and pretty inexpensive.

It calculates/records step and walking, hiking distance from 01 to 1000 miles to the highest accuracy like most tech-savvy trackers will do. It also calculates distance traveled and calories burnt. Durable replaceable battery last for 12 months and the system automatically goes Off when you’re stationary.

As simple as it gets, this pedometer can be clipped wherever feels comfortable for you, or tucked inside a pocket or a bag. Your step count is displayed on the large, clear screen, and you also get an estimate of how many calories you’ve burned and the distance you’ve covered in miles or kilometres.

The replaceable AG13 battery (included) should last you several months, as the Pingko pedometer automatically powers itself down if you don’t move for a minute. Just be aware that the Pingko doesn’t link to an app, so if you want to track your step count over time you’ll need to write it down manually.

The 3DTriSport is a simple pedometer that does all the basics well. On the main screen, you can see your steps for the day, as well as the time (that 6:42.00 you can see in the picture actually means it’s 6:42pm – a slightly strange way of writing the time). Pressing the ‘mode’ button, however, allows you to flick through to see your daily mileage, calories, minutes spent walking, and your 30-day step history. These extras were a big reason why the 3DTriSport ranked as the favourite – it offers more than most basic pedometers in this price category.

This basic-looking pedometer has one very clever feature: it can differentiate between regular steps and aerobic walking, where you set a brisker pace and reap greater benefits to your cardiovascular fitness. It also tracks your distance covered and calories burned, and stores the results for seven days – although there’s no facility for uploading this data to an app.

Does a £6.99 pedometer do anything less than a more expensive version? In truth, not really, bar a couple of functions. I liked the Pingko step counter as it was so simple – it arrived ready to go, with no installment or set-up required. Just clip it on, and you’re set. And the screen is (relatively) giant, so it’s easy to see and use.

In fact, this is probably the simplest, most basic pedometer I tried. All you have to do is flick through the ‘M’ button to get your steps, calories (though I’m not sure how accurate that is), and distance. At the end of the day, just hold the ‘reset’ button to start again.

Omron Tri-axis digital pedometer uses a 3D sensor that doesn’t miscount your steps. It comes with a holder clip and whether you wear it vertically or horizontally, in a pocket or a bag it still gives you highly accurate results.

Review:

This excellent fitness tracker has a small but clear screen and a mammoth one-year battery life (after which you simply need to pop in a fresh battery). It tracks your steps, and marks you hitting your daily target with a mini on-screen celebration – and it can also automatically adjust your step target over time, so if you’re cruising to 10,000 steps each day the challenge will be increased, and if you’re struggling to reach your goal it will be reduced a little to help you stay motivated and provide an attainable goal.
