Mikko Lagerstedt, who is a self-taught fine-art photographer, said of this image: ‘Some of my favourite things to capture are abandoned places and objects. This shipwreck was in Emäsalo, Finland. Now the shipwreck has been fixed, and it’s sitting in a nearby spot, upright, like all other boats. This image was created using multiple exposures. Due to heavy light pollution from a factory nearby, I had to use multiple images and a lot of luck to capture the scenery, with a mist all around the subject. I used Photoshop to create the final image, which included removing some distracting elements from the foreground and the heavy light pollution’
