Often times we assume that Yoghurt and curd are one and the same thing and have the same benefits to boast of.
However, this is only the half-truth as there are some very stark differences that separate the two of them.

1. Method Of Preparation
Curd is a dairy product and is made when you curdle the milk using any acidic substance like vinegar or lime juice.
On the other hand, Yoghurt is created after bacterial fermentation of milk with the help of yoghurt culture.
While Yoghurt may be available in many flavours like strawberry, blueberry, vanilla, and mango, Curd is mostly non-flavoured. You may sweeten it however that is the maximum you could do with it.
3. Nutritional Value
Yoghurt is richly endowed with minerals like Calcium, Phosphorus and even Vitamin B12. While Curd has potassium, calcium, Vitamin B6 and Iron in abundance.
4. Place of Preparation
Yoghurt is mostly commercially manufactured. Curd, on the other hand, can be made at home provided you know the tricks of how to do it.
Consumption of Yoghurt reduces the risk of cholesterol and blood pressure for an individual.
Whilst if you eat curd on a regular basis it can help in improving your digestion and boosting brain functioning.
