Review: WebsiteToolTester
Wix has become pretty well known over the last few years, in part due to budget-busting marketing campaigns starring stars like Heidi Klum, Jason Statham and Gal Gadot, better known as Wonder Woman. But let’s start with the basics:
The Wix website builder is a simplified way to create a website. It runs in your web browser (no need to install any software) and already provides its own web hosting. You sign up, select a template design, and start creating. It doesn’t require any advanced technical skills
2. WordPress
WordPress is software designed for everyone, emphasizing accessibility, performance, security, and ease of use. Create a free website or build a blog with ease on WordPress.com. Dozens of free, customizable, mobile-ready designs and themes. Free hosting and support.
Review: Capterra
Pros: Nowadays, WordPress is the most used platform when it comes to building new websites, and its first major advantage is that it is cost effective. The cost of customization tools available and the maintenance expenses are outweighed by the profit you’ll earn in the long run. In addition, it is an SEO friendly platform, meaning that the coding used enables you to customize the components of pages that you want to rank higher in search engines.
Cons: That due to being an open source platform, it is vulnerable when it comes to security. Plugins and themes can be developed by different persons and companies around the world, meaning that there is no way to monitor their contents. They can very easily contain harmful coding or bugs within them. Also, for the same reason that it is open-sourced, WordPress does not offer support, and if you have no basic knowledge of programming, coding, designing, etc, you will have to seek help at the online forums.
Overall: If you are a simple person like me, and beginning the process of creating a new website without needing to know advanced skills, you will definitely want to start out with WordPress, since its interface is easy to use.
I believe the benefits outweigh the few disadvantages, having in mind that even if content such as plugins and themes are vulnerable to security risks, WordPress still offers a wide range of this content like no other platform.
Remember, the platform is intuitive and highly customizable; The WordPress dashboard, where you will be managing all of the content in your page, contains all the options to customize key functions.
It takes some time to become familiar with all the management options, but once you have done so, you will fully improve your abilities to enhance the personality and design of your content.
3. Weebly

Get discovered with a professional website. Easily customize with free website builder. Get discovered with a professional website. Easy to set up and customize.
All-in-one powerful eCommerce tools to simplify order management, shipping, and payments.
Review: Weebly
The first thing we noticed when trying Weebly for the first time is how easy it is to use. It’s like stepping into someone else’s kitchen and immediately finding everything you need to cook. The tools are intuitive and super friendly to beginners.
They also keep the pricing simple. After the free plan (with a Weebly ad in the footer), there are four premium offers called Starter, Pro, Business and Performance, which we describe in more detail in a minute.
A thing to note is that we’ve used Weebly to build a couple of projects ourselves. One of them, Barcelona-Museum.com, comprises more than a 100 pages, and we were very impressed with how well Weebly handles larger websites. For instance, Wix or Squarespace would make it harder to manage a huge number of articles.
4. Jimdo

Review: PCmag
Pros
WYSIWYG, drag-and-drop site-building. Good site customization. Automatic site creator. Solid mobile support. Inexpensive. Free sites available.
Cons
The interface takes some getting used to. Doesn’t provide site asset storage. Some site elements don’t show up on builder interface. Limited e-commerce options.
Bottom Line
Jimdo lets you build a decent-looking website easily and affordably, even offering automated site creation. But its e-commerce options are limited and the interface isn’t the friendliest.
5. Bookmark

Review: Capterra
Pros: I love how quick it is to get a shell of a website up and running, ready for editing. I can use the AI builder to pick an industry and my style, then it creates a fully functional website in a couple minutes. Of course then you can edit it to match your color scheme and update your content to make it reflect your own brand, which will take some time of course. But getting to the point where you can start editing is minutes vs. hours with some other website builders. Also I like how simple yet powerful the website editor is. It’s super easy to add modules and entire pre-built content areas which you can then customize further. Also it’s very touch-screen friendly. Some other builder tools I’v used don’t work at all when using touch screens. Also their sites are hosted on Amazon’s AWS cloud servers, which are lightning fast.
Cons: Currently it’s missing some key functionality that I know they are working on and will be added soon. But at the moment their blog features are lacking. There isn’t a way to save a blog post layout and use it as a template going forward for future blog posts. You have to recreate each post from scratch.
Overall: Overall I love the platform and its potential. It is lacking in a few features right now because it’s a bit newer than other platforms on the market; however Bookmark is prioritizing and releasing more functionality all the time. In a few months I believe this will be one of the top website builders out there.
6. Webnode
You can create an amazing website with Webnode in just minutes. Customize the content and design of your website in no time. No limit to your creativity.
Build a website for your business, start your own blog or share your portfolio online. Open a successful online store in minutes. Just register, add products and start selling. A beautiful website everywhere and anywhere. It will look great on tablets and mobile phones.
Review: WebsiteToolTester
With more than 30 million registered users, Webnode is one of the larger players in the website creation arena. Their core strength is clearly languages – they support more than 20 of them and they even let you create a multilingual website. Surprisingly, they also offer support in all these languages.
A short while ago Webnode decided to launch a new version of their platform and replace the good old editor that we liked a lot. We even used it to build some of our own projects, e.g. ChatToolTester.com. The improvements include a more direct editing experience as well as a range of good-looking designs. Just recently, they also added a new and improved shopping cart to the website builder.
7. IM Creator

Review: WebsiteBuilders
Pros – Easy to use, yet more customization options than other platforms. Excellent designs. Wide variety of templates, including one page and “5 Min. Site”
Cons – No store option. No viable blog feature. Can’t change template without starting over. Some bugs.
8. WebStarts
WebStarts is everything you need to create and maintain your very own website. Traditionally websites are written in HTML code, that code is stored on a server, and a domain is pointed to it. The process of setting up a traditional website is tedious, technical, and expensive.
If you don’t know how to code you might hire a web developer. Next, you need to purchase server space. Finally, you need to register a domain.
It’s a hassle to manage three different bills and three different companies. The whole process is so confusing it leaves a lot of people wondering how to make a website at all.
Review: Webstarts
“Service and response has been so great I will recommend and return to your service at a later date.”

Review: Websiteplanet
Sitey is a promising program but it certainly does not come close to more robust builders such as Wix or Weebly. Even then, Sitey offers some impressive features, including a versatile blogging tool, a nice selection of modern and responsive templates, and a fuss-free editor that make Sitey a worthwhile site builder to check out.

Review: Websitebuilderexpert
Strikingly is a basic website builder that offers a range of templates and stylish, if simple, designs. It is aimed at total beginners, and while it can’t really compete with the more developed brands such as Wix or Weebly, it does have certain features that could make it the right choice for you.
It’s not the biggest or the best out there, but it looks after its customers with brilliant customer support and offers really affordable prices. The templates available have sleek designs but offer little creative control, putting speed above complex editing.

Review: G2
What do you like best?
I’ve worked with wix, wordpress, squarespace – everything and I always hated every one of them. However, Duda was great from the start! A lot of my problems – especially with Wix and WordPress was that templates were never great and you can’t do much to change it to match your own look. Even though I pay every month for my site, its ABSOLUTELY worth it! The freedom to do whatever you want and make it look however you’d like no matter the template without coding is everything I wanted my web hoster to be and Duda is just that! I wasn’t paid or promoted to write this review – I simply wrote out of love!

What do you dislike?
I’m a product designer, so I give honest feedback about sites and apps. Honestly, I think the hardest part of duda is the learning curve, I found it (and sometimes still do) hard to find certain things and find myself clicking a lot of tabs to find what I want. The other thing is the text. I wish we could do more within the text bar.

Review: ecommerceguide
By almost all accounts, Magento is THE e-commerce platform, and currently the most popular such solution in existence. It’s estimated that Magento is used on 20 percent of all e-commerce sites online.
Under the hood, Magento works in either of two ways:
a) it’s available as a free download – this means that you can download it from the official website and install it on your own server,
b) it’s available as a hosted service – this means that you don’t have to install anything yourself, but there’s also a much higher price tag.

Review: Capterra
Overall: I love SquareSpace. I would really need to be wowed to switch to another company. This has everything I want (not just need) to create a great first impression
Pros: I love how simple it is to create the aesthetic I want to share with the public. The customer support team was so helpful whenever I met a snag in implementation. That hardly ever happened though, because it is so straightforward to create my own website with gorgeous content thanks to SquareSpace and their templates
Cons: There have been a few times where links have broken on my website and it has been challenging to get them reinstated.

You can actually create a few genuinely stunning and exceptional sites with Webflow. There is no other software program that has as numerous attributes and ability to totally manage the design of your site apart from Webflow. Absolutely no HTML coding required, in any way. You will notice that site animation is really simple to apply and could be as complicated as you need them to be.
Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike?
Regrettably, Webflow isn’t useful pertaining to the majority of expert website designers as well as developers.
