Andrew Schulz was born on October 30, 1987, in New York City as Andrew Cameron Schulz. His mother, Sandra Cameron, is a Scottish immigrant and professional ballroom dancer, and his father, Larry Schulz, is a US Army veteran and former reporter.
Sandra and Larry have owned the Sandra Cameron Dance Center for over 30 years. Andrew attended Lillie Devereaux Blake Primary School, Robert F. Wagner Middle School, and Baruch College Campus High School, and received a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Schulz began acting in stand-up comedy in college and returned to New York in the early 2000s to pursue acting.
He performs regularly at Comedy Village and in 2008 performed at his Comedy Festival in Edinburgh, Scotland.
In 2017, Andrew released his comedy special 4:4:1 on his YouTube, followed by his comedy album 5:5:1 in 2018.
