Nowadays, people are facing stress to an extent which is affecting them at their behavioral and psychological levels. Now, first talking about behavioral effects, 46% reported that they ate too much or too less unhealthily due to stress. 29% said that they started drinking or increased drinking and 16% even started smoking or increased smoking.
Then, coming to psychological effects, there are 16% of people who have self-harmed and 32% of the people have suicidal thoughts and feelings. 37% of the people have reported feeling lonely as a result.
If we go down to the extent of its various reasons, there are ‘n’ number of the same. It can be related to your work, debt, finances or health. But the more important thing is how are you gonna fight it?

Yoga has become a popular method to relieve stress and anxiety levels among all age groups. There have been studies examining yoga’s effect on mental health. They have shown that it enhances mood and may be as effective as antidepressant drugs at treating depression and anxiety.
3. Spend Time With Friends And Family
Having strong social ties may help you get over your tough times. Being in a friend circle gives you a sense of belongingness. There are studies showing that people with the fewest social connections are most likely to suffer from depression and anxiety.
4. Learn To Avoid Procrastination
People can face stress and anxiety if they do not meet their deadlines on time. One way to deal with stress is if you are on top of your priorities. Procrastinating can cause stress and other negative effects in your body. Make a to-do list, organize your priorities and then abide by them. Prioritize what needs to be done and allocate appropriate time to it.

This is one of the most underrated points. The right music has a lot of health effects on your body. There are different types of music for different purposes. Like instrumental music relaxes the body, by reducing the stress hormones and lowering heart rate.
Start your day with an inspirational or motivational quote. You can consider creating your favourite quote and sticking it on the wall on which you lay your eyes first thing in the morning. This can boost your self-confidence and reduce stress in mysterious ways.
6. Eat Well-Balanced Meals
Your diet is very important. Having a healthy diet helps you to prevent yourself from most f the diseases itself. One should not skip meals and keeping having them at regular intervals. One should increase their meals from 3 a day to 8 a day. Do keep healthful, energy-boosting snacks on hand.
