Early Life

Keery was born on April 24, 1992, in Newburyport, Massachusetts. His father David worked as an architect and his mother Nina was an English professor. He grew up with his four sisters Caroline, Lizzie, Kate, and Emma, and is his second of five siblings.

Keery attended his charter school in the River Valley, a Montessori elementary and middle school that his mother helped establish. He then attended Newburyport High School. When he was younger, he attended Theater in the Open, a performing arts camp at Moseley State Park. However, his early acting experience began in high school and he was primarily encouraged by his older sister.

After graduating from high school, he entered the DePaul University School of Drama. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting in 2014 with his diploma.

Career

After graduating from college with DePaul, Keery began auditioning for commercials, small TV roles, and movies. During this time he also worked as a waiter. He has appeared in commercials for Domino and KFC and has also made guest appearances on Empire and Chicago Fire.
