YouTube is currently testing a new feature that adds a shuffle button to the YouTube app, located in the lower-right corner.

Previously, users relied on third-party extensions and websites for shuffling content, often focusing on music or specific creators.
Netflix had experimented with a similar feature but discontinued it due to low usage.
However, it’s important to note that this feature is not available to all YouTube users, even those who have enabled experimental features.

Currently, in the “Try new features” section of the settings, the only available option is to allow AI to summarize comment sections on videos with many comments. So, if you encounter the shuffle button, it’s entirely by chance.
This marks another effort by YouTube to incorporate Shorts into its app.
They’ve introduced a carousel at the top of the main feed, a banner in the YouTube feed, and a Shorts button in the bottom navigation bar.
