The teaser of Salman Khan‘s much-awaited film Bharat is finally out. Khan features in almost every scene of the one-and-a-half minute clip, and it looks like Salman is back in his element.
The teaser starts with the visuals of an overcrowded train at a railway station in Pakistan alluding to the heart-wrenching pictures from the Partition of India.
His accompanying voice-over says, ” “People often ask me what my surname is, what caste or religion I belong to. I smile and tell them that my father named me Bharat after this country. I cannot possibly reduce the value of such a weighty name by adding a surname or a caste/religious identity.”
In the teaser, the filmmakers describe Bharat as the “journey of a man and a nation together,” and we saw Salman Khan as a daredevil motorcyclist performing exhilarating stunts, a Navy officer and an ageing boxer.

Also starring Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff, Sonali Kulkarni, Disha Patani and Nora Fatehi, Bharat is a remake of the 2014 Korean blockbuster Ode to My Father, the rights of which were bought by Salman’s brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri.
Salman Khan has teamed up with Ali Abbas Zafar once again and the film marks his third collaboration with Salman Khan after Sultan (2016) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017).
Bankrolled by Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, Bharat will be released this June, during Eid.
