All who make it to IITs and IIMs are not geeks, and many have proved this. There could be many artists, dancers, musicians, standup comedians among, of course, the studious lot. A music video made by the members of the Choreography and Dance Section of IIT-Roorkee is proof.
These students have made a music video that seems better than the original.
Everyone believes that getting into any Indian Institute of Technology is tough for engineering aspirants and well, it indeed is but once you’re in, IIT hostel life is famous for all the wrong reasons. Apart from studying and bagging jobs with huge package, the students are known for not bathing, binge watching, and being awesome at whatever they choose to do.
In the video, you see Meet Saparia, Satyabrat Panda, Sambhav Jain, Devarsh Tiwari, the dancers, and Priya Ajania and Apurva Jatan, their muses. The video was directed by Ankush Raut, and choreographed by Meet.
The video was mostly shot in the IIT Roorkee campus, and rest in nearby cafes. When asked about the process of conceptualisation, Meet said that they had initially sat down to finalize the song, and once decided, they choreographed in bits and pieces, shot those sequences hand-in-hand and got them edited.
