If you are in the manufacturing industry, you’ve likely already seen robots start to make a presence in the workplace.
While most plants aren’t fully robotic yet, there is the real potential that they could be one day, which has lead to a dreading fear for many.
Many fear that they will be replaced and lose their employment. However, this is something that people do not have to worry about.
Full automation in the workplace isn’t about replacing human workers. Robotics in the workplace is about increasing the overall productivity and enriching the company’s ability to succeed while also improving the lives of the real, human employees, who are still needed to keep things running smoothly.
There is no denying that there are both advantages and disadvantages to robotics in the workplace, but you’ll see that the potential benefits far outweigh the potential downfalls.
Safety is probably one of the most obvious benefits of robots in the workplace.
Most plants utilize machines. Machines that get hot and operate with sharp objects all of which have the potential to harm or injury a human.
When a robot takes over operating a machine like this, neither the employer or the employee has to worry about getting injured.
The employer will most likely be stuck with a repair bill rather than a serious medical bill or lawsuit.
As an employee, you should be happy that a robot can step in and remove some of the risks that your job poses.
This one is probably another obvious benefit and this is why most people are worried in the first place.
It is a well-known fact that robots are simply more productive than humans because of the simple fact that they don’t get distracted or need to take breaks.
They don’t request vacation time either or leave early. A robot will never slack off on his job because he is having a bad day.
These machines can simply work around the clock with the training and worries that most human workers would need.
This is something that can keep other workers from having to work overtime and meet high-pressure deadlines.
This is just one of the many reasons that robotic automation Malaysia is a good idea for local plants.
As was mentioned above, robots don’t get distracted. They don’t depend on other workers or certain environmental conditions to be able to get their work done.
No, they are always going to be able to work at the pace that they are currently working at. Of course, there might come times when they need repairs, but for the most part, they don’t have unexpected emergencies and will never need to be relocated to complete different time-sensitive tasks.
They will always be there. And, they will always be doing the job that they are assigned to.
Robots will always deliver quality. This is exactly what they are designed and programmed to do.
Precise, repetitive motion is always likely going to produce perfection every time. With humans, there is always that potential for human error. With robots, that potential is completely eliminated.
