Many areas of Hyderabad are still flooded after massive rains in Hyderabad the night before. The city was hit with 10-12 centimeters of rain between 8pm and 11pm in the course of the low-lying areas being flooding with rainwater, which reached homes in various areas.
Two people are identified as missing after being carried away by the powerful streams in the low-lying regions authorities said.
News agency ANI released a video showing a restaurant that was flooded located in Old City where the customers were seen eating meals while their ankles were drenched in water.

Other videos uploaded by residents show cars parked along the lanes floating in the water and being swept away by the currents in areas in which the currents were stronger.

8 flights diverted from cities in the vicinity six of them in all to Bengaluru and one for Vijayawada in Tamil Nadu and Chennai.
Through social networks, people have recalled the terrible flooding between September and October of last year. they accused the city’s management of failing to improve the infrastructure.
In Chintalkunta One person was taken away by currents. The man was later found to be secure.
Two others, however, were reported missing in Vanasthali puram an official from the police confirmed.
“Two persons were swept away when the nullahs flooded due to heavy rains. Searching for them by rescue team,” senior police officer K Purushottam was quoted as telling media agency ANI.
