Finally, the makers of Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi have released the teaser of the film on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. And , it looks grand.
Going by the teaser, Kangana Ranaut, who plays Rani Laxmi Bai in the film, looks brilliant portraying the role of the fierce warrior queen.
The teaser video begins with Amitabh Bachchan‘s voiceover as he explains in his deep baritone the era when the British invaded India and it was then that Manikarnika (Rani of Jhansi) decided to fight for her motherland.
The period drama traces the journey of Rani Lakshmibai from a queen to one of the most feared warriors of the 1857 Mutiny against the British.
Kangana Ranaut plays the titular role. The teaser is every bit spectacular.

“I am proud of this film, and of portraying a character who empowers and inspires. We have put in our heart, blood and sweat into making this film.
Manikarnika will make every Indian proud,” Kangana had earlier said in a statement about the film.
The movie is directed by National Award Winner Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi (Krish) and also stars Ankita Lokhande, Jisshu Sengupta, Zeeshan Ayyub, Danny Dengzongpa, Atul Kulkarni and Taher Shabbir in pivotal roles.
The film is written by the writers of Baahubali and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag.
