The Pursuit of Happyness is a 2006 American biographical drama film based on entrepreneur Chris Gardner’s nearly one-year struggle being homeless. Directed by Gabriele Muccino, the film features Will Smith as Gardner, a homeless salesman. Smith’s son Jaden Smith co-stars, making his film debut as Gardner’s son, Christopher Jr.

3. The Blind Side

It was written and directed by John Lee Hancock, and based on the 2006 book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis.The storyline features Michael Oher, an offensive lineman who played for the Baltimore Ravens and the Tennessee Titans and currently is signed with the Carolina Panthers in the NFL. Hotel Rwanda is a 2004 American historical drama film directed by Terry George.  Based on the Rwandan Genocide which occurred during the spring of 1994, the film, which has been called an African Schindler’s List, documents Rusesabagina’s acts to save the lives of his family and more than a thousand other refugees by granting them shelter in the besieged Hôtel des Mille Collines. Hotel Rwanda explores genocide, political corruption, and the repercussions of violence.
