Instagram has made a noteworthy addition to its platform by introducing a carousel that showcases posts from the Threads app directly within the main feed. This strategic move was aimed at encouraging users to explore and download the Threads app.
Nevertheless, this alteration has generated a diverse range of responses within the social media community. For some, it’s perceived as a somewhat ‘desperate’ maneuver by Instagram in its quest to expand its user base.
Instagram Now Showing Threads Posts In Feed
Threads made an impressive debut, capturing significant attention and swiftly accumulating over a hundred million users in a remarkable fashion. This new app seemed poised to establish itself as a prominent contender in the realm of social media.
However, the initial enthusiasm surrounding Threads gradually waned, leading to a notable decrease in its active user base.
In response to this, Meta undertook an initiative to rekindle user engagement with the Threads app by seamlessly integrating its posts directly into the Instagram platform.

Despite the effort, it seems that this maneuver has not yielded positive results and, instead, has been causing irritation and annoyance among numerous users.

Users have reported encountering a ‘for you’ section featuring Threads content as they scroll through their Instagram feed. Nonetheless, many express their desire to maintain their previous experience on the platform, without Threads posts from people they follow appearing in their feed.

There is a growing sentiment among users that Meta has essentially turned Instagram into a Facebook clone, as both platforms now prominently feature reels and content from external sources like Instagram.
Furthermore, some users express frustration over persistent Threads promotions, especially when they cannot even access the Threads app in their country.
Moreover, there’s considerable skepticism among users regarding the necessity of forcibly integrating content from another platform into their Instagram feeds. This shift has led some to characterize the recent change as a desperate attempt to reinvigorate the platform’s user base.

Affected users are now urging the company to undo the recent change, allowing them to once again enjoy using the platform as they did before.
